Cotton voile dress with a floral all-over pattern on an ecru background. We like the gathered yoke which supports the body of the dress, the square neckline bordered by a narrow flounce, the 3/4 sleeves finished with a bracelet and the wide scalloped flounce at the bottom. A sober and elegant dress. The flora motif in a rose shades, exclusive to Emile and Ida, is executed in block print which is an Indian handcraft technique of printing with carved wooden blocks. 
Fabrics printed with block print age well but it is normal that with each wash the pattern loses a little of its intensity. This technique allows for a return to craftsmanship and the appreciation of the manual gesture. Manual means imperfection. We find indeed an irregular and imperfect side of the patterns, which also brings all the authenticity to the product. 
The dress is lined in cotton voile.
