Cherry printed cotton voile top in all-over on an ecru background. We like the cherry motif, exclusive to Emile and Ida, executed in block print which is an Indian handcraft technique of printing with carved wooden blocks. Fabrics printed with block print age well but it is normal that with each wash the pattern loses a little of its intensity. This technique allows for a return to craftsmanship and the valorisation of the manual gesture. Manual means imperfection. We find indeed an irregular and imperfect side of the patterns, which also brings all the authenticity to the product. The smocks embroidered by hand also give this top a chic side, the strappy shape a casual side. The back of the smocks is trimmed with a clean fabric for extra softness and comfort. Shorts
Cherry printed cotton voile shorts in all-over on an ecru background. We like the very light fabric, the 2 raglan pockets on the buttocks and the 2 Italian pockets on the front, the elasticated waist which can be adjusted with a red cotton tie and the ruffled bottom of the thighs.
